Large deviations for the maximum of a branching random walk with stretched exponential tails

We consider real-valued branching random walks with stretched exponential tails and prove a large deviation result for the position of the rightmost particle. The talk is based on a joint work with Nina Gantert and Thomas Höfelsauer.
